1 Kings 5:17  And the king commanded them to quarry large stones, costly stones, and hewn stones, to lay the foundation of the temple.

 Hewn stones are those that can be cut to size so they might be placed together in such a way that they supply safety from the elements of the world.

  Pray today that the many hewn stones necessary to build a spiritual house will make themselves available to God and the church. There is much safety for God’s people when everyone is willing to do what they can to provide safety from the many storms that can threaten the safety and rights of Christians in a society where godless ideas and attitudes are prevalent.
