We Are The People

1 Kings 11:30-31  ³⁰ Then Ahijah took hold of the new garment that was on him, and tore it into twelve pieces. ³¹ And he said to Jeroboam, “Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you.

When the prophet Ahijah took the garment off of Jeroboam and tore it in a dozen pieces, Jeroboam was surely upset and confused.  The garment was new.

Pray for people who have things taken from them in government will learn to wait to see what God might be up to on their behalf.  Sometimes things must be brought under God’s authority and the only way that will happen is for them to have some things stripped away before they can receive something new.
