Thursday, June 14 “Mourning Over Losses”

1 Kings 14:17-18 Then Jeroboam’s wife arose and departed, and came to Tirzah. When she came to the threshold of the house, the child died. 18 And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke through His servant Ahijah the prophet.
Innocent people die because leaders occasionally make bad decisions. Pray that we in America will learn to weep with those who weep. This week, a man took the lives of four children in Florida and then took his own life.
King Jeroboam made bad decisions and his innocent children died. Pray that leaders of homes, churches and communities in America will mourn over losses due to disobedience to God’s Word. When we lament we will also be driven to our knees in prayer.
