1 Kings 14:30-31 30 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days. 31 So Rehoboam rested with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. His mother’s name was Naamah, an Ammonitess. Then Abijam his son reigned in his place.
It seems that only in death Jeroboam and Rehoboam found rest. Abijam was now king over Judah. There is always hope for a better future with new leaders, but we will see in coming days that Abijam was not such a good leader. Pray that we will have future leaders with a heart for God to lead us and our children as they seek the Lord for guidance.
