1 Kings 16:12-13 ¹² Thus Zimri destroyed all the household of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord, which He spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet, ¹³ for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son, by which they had sinned and by which they had made Israel sin, in provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their ^[d]idols.

Zimri was used in the hand of God to bring correction to Israel. He came against the idolatry that became prevalent in the land. Pray that God will raise up leaders who will recognize the failure of former leaders who have failed to bring America to the place of righteousness and justice and that the will make the hard decisions that will bring us back to a place of national blessing based upon truth.
