Thursday, August 16, 2018 “Zimri is King!”

1 Kings 16:15-16 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri had reigned in Tirzah seven days. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. 16 Now the people who were encamped heard it said, “Zimri has conspired and also has killed the king.” So all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.
It didn’t take long for Zimri to be recognized as the kind of Israel by all the people. Let us pray that there will be a realization in America that as President Barak Obama said “Elections have consequences,” we all must acknowledge that when people are elected to public office the will of the people has spoken. Only in unity and support of our leaders will we make headway in the struggle we have with our enemies.
