We Are The People

1 Kings 17:17 Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him.

This story is similar to the Gospel text that tells us of Lazarus’ sickness and death. Jesus knew that Lazarus, his friend, was sick but he let him die. Like it or not there are times when things must come to an end. God is always on the side of life, but there are times when darkness seems to cover the land. That happened when in creation there was no light, and all was chaotic. Then God spoke. Pray that God’s Word will be restored in public debate and in our schools once again. And maybe even some of our churches will begin to preach the word once again and put away the fables and fairytales.
