Friday, January 11, 2019 “No Isolation”

1 Kings 19:3-4 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”
Elijah left his servant behind and went into the wilderness. Solitude is good for us at times but it can also be a place where the devil can lie to the man or woman of God. Let us pray today that we will not retreat from challenges we face as believers in this generation. We need each other so we can find truth in the confusing times with many voices in the world.
