2 Kings 2:10 10 So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”

Elisha was the “servant” mentee of Elijah the prophet. Elisha had asked a hard thing. Elijah simply responded, “You are asking a hard question.” This was because Elisha must follow a path that leads to, “You will know we are there when we arrive.” Pray that the next generation of leaders will realize we don’t always know what to expect, but progressive revelation will always be accompanied by God’s abiding presence that will take us to the desired destination.
