We Are The People

Genesis 25:22-23 ” ²² But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. ²³ And the Lord said to her: “Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.”

Rebekah would give birth to twins: Jacob and Esau. Like the two political parties in America – Democrats and Republicans – the two struggled, even in the womb. Rebekah recognized the struggle, and she went to the Lord in prayer, asking “if all is well, why am I like this?” Let us pray today and asking God, “If all is well in America today, why is our nation in such a desperate condition being divided in so many ways?” God answered Rebekah’s prayer – I trust he will do the same for us.
