Genesis 26:19-21

19 Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there. 20 But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well [a]Esek, because they quarreled with him. 21 Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name [b]Sitnah.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

There are three wells mentioned here. The first is described as a well of living water. In the Hebrew it is Khahe – “living.”

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that as believers in America, the church will dig those deep wells where life abundant can flow once again from God’s throne to this land of promise and hope.

Prayer Focus #2 The second well is Esek, which means “quarrel.” Pray that there will be less quarreling and more godly decision making in Washington D.C.

Prayer Focus #3 The third well is Sitnah, which mean “enmity.” Pray that enmity between Americans will cease and that a spirit of unity will come upon the land beginning with God’s people.
