We Are The People

Genesis 26:24

“²⁴ And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. The Lord appeared to Isaac and the first thing He revealed was, “I am the God of your father Abraham.” In this verse we find three points of prayer to agree upon this Sunday evening.

Prayer Focus #1 The first words God shared with Isaac were “don’t fear, I am with you.” Many Christian believers in America feel a bit fearful about the future of our country. Pray that a spirit of faith in God will fall upon the church that will dispel fears about our nation and the direction of morality and financial responsibility which threatens the very fabric of faith and family.

Prayer Focus #2 God’s promise is to be with His people and to bless them. Pray that God’s people will be confident in the power of God. His presence always goes before us in every situation to command His blessing and favor upon His children.

Prayer Focus #3 God said He would multiply His people in the land for Father Abraham’s sake. Pray that Christians in America will see God’s plan to multiply believers through them for the sake of many believing Americans – even those from our founding fathers to the present time. May the Lord bless us with a strong majority of God-fearing men and women in this wonderful land.
