Genesis 26:34-35 “³⁴ When Esau was forty years old, he took as wives Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite. ³⁵ And they were a grief of mind to Isaac and Rebekah.”

Jacob and Esau were twin brothers. Jacob chose good things in life (usually.) Esau continually chose the ways of the flesh – even as we see here with the wives he married. The relationships brought grief to Isaac and Rebekah, Esau’s parents. Pray that God’s people will guide their children in finding a godly spouse who will cause joy and not grief in the family.
