We Are The People

Genesis 27:11-14

“¹¹ And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, “Look, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth-skinned man. ¹² Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall seem to be a deceiver to him; and I shall bring a curse on myself and not a blessing.”¹³ But his mother said to him, “Let your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, get them for me.” ¹⁴ And he went and got them and brought them to his mother, and his mother made ^[a]savory food, such as his father loved.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Rebekah and Jacob both were “smart” in their own way. In the end, God’s purposes were being fulfilled. Perhaps not the way we would have done things, but God uses many times what we are willing to place in His hands.

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that there will be discernment of heart and mind in our security people as Jacob displayed concerning the information his mother gave him especially the things concerning our boarders and in dealing with the Israeli situations.

Prayer Focus #2 In verse 12, Jacob was concerned that he would be cursed. Pray that our leadership will have the fear of the Lord. God has spoken, “I will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.” Let America always be found on the side of blessing concerning Israel and our policies.

Prayer Focus #3 So far, so good. Pray that the plans and purposes of God will be followed as He commands. Even when it involves those things and people we would say, “can anything good come out of…” God used ungodly kings and even prostitutes to accomplish His purposes.
