We Are The People

Genesis 27:41 “⁴¹ So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esau said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father ^[a]are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”

Jealousy leads to hatred and the death of the one hated. If Esau had his way it would have been like the religious leaders in Jesus who plotted against Jesus, “let us kill Him and the inheritance will be ours.” What God promises as a blessing to an individual or a people belongs to the recipient. Pray that the blessings pronounced to Jacob will be guarded by God Himself and brought to fruition.
