Sunday, October 22, 2023″Rebekah Wanted the Best”
Genesis 27: 44-46
“44 And stay with him a few days, until your brother’s fury turns away, 45 until your brother’s anger turns away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him; then I will send and bring you from there. Why should I be bereaved also of you both in one day?”46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, like these who are the daughters of the land, what good will my life be to me?”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
Rebekah, a voice to the future of Jacob (Israel) gave some specific information that would help preserve the future generations of the Jewish people. Pray that there will be wisdom shared with the younger today that will bring about safety for God’s people around the world in future generations.
Prayer Focus #1 Rebekah told her son Jacob that one day there will be a time when Esau will forget what has happened between him and Jacob. Pray that a season of “forgetfulness” will fall upon those who desire to come against Israel today.
Prayer Focus #2 Rebekah had a great desire in her heart to see her sons reconciled. Pray that in our day there will be a measure of reconciliation that will bring a season of peace to Israel (Jacob’s seed).
Prayer Focus #3 Rebekah desired to preserve a godly seed through Jacob to the extent she said, “My life will not be any good to me if he marries a non-believer.” Pray that the people of God will have that same spirit so they might stand unified in this day of unsurety in our world.
