We Are The People

Genesis 28:20-22 “²⁰ Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, ²¹ so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. ²² And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a ^[a]tenth to You.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Jacob didn’t leave home under the best of conditions, but he had hope for the future that when he returned there would be a better situation than when he left. With what is happening in our world pray that there will be hope and a future for our troops who will be returning from battle.

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that there will be peace in the Israeli conflict following the current war with Hamas and others.   

Prayer Focus #2 Pray that the result of the current conflict in the Middle East will result in people turning to God and His House – the church.

Prayer Focus #3 Jacob’s commitment to God following his acknowledgement of God being his spiritual “Rock” was that God would receive a portion of all he received in life. Pray that all believers will “give back” time, talent and treasure which will result in the furtherance of the Gospel. And that it will be evident to them that you cannot outgive God.
