Sunday, December 31, 2023 “Closing Doors”

Revelation 3:7-8 ““And to the [a]angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, [b]and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

Today and tomorrow we will take a break from our usual prayer trek from the book of Genesis. These verses from the third chapter of Genesis tells us that Jesus holds the keys that can lock tight doors he does not want to open or remain open. He closes doors that are unprofitable or destructive. On this last day of 2023, let us pray that God will enable us to close doors that are harmful or not productive so we will be able to take on those things that are productive for the days ahead.
