Sunday, March 24, 2024 “Faith, Not Fear”

Genesis 32:7-8

So Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed; and he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks and herds and camels, into two companies. And he said, “If Esau comes to the one company and [a]attacks it, then the other company which is left will escape.”

Today is Palm Sunday, when we remember Jesus entering Jerusalem with hundred of people worshipping Him as the King of Israel. There were also those whose words shortly cry out, “Crucify Him!”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Jacob approached things through a spirit of fear. He was ready to give up half of all he had. Jacob suffered from a lack of knowledge concerning who he was.

Prayer Focus #1: The Bible teaches us that fear brings torment. Pray that God’s people in America will not allow fear to dominate their thoughts. When a believer does that, they begin to give away what we have as America like Jacob was willing to do as the one who was given the Father’s blessing.

Prayer Focus #2: Jacob was distressed. This is when people make poor decisions like Jacob was willing to do concerning half of all that he possessed. Pray that God’s people in America will live by faith that keeps us living as more than conquerors in the battles of life.

Prayer Focus #3: Pray tonight that God’s children in America will understand who we are and that we overcome through the blood of the Lamb and we remember on Good Friday and our words of testimony concerning the Resurrection.
