Genesis 32:28 “²⁸ And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but ^[a]Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

When Jacob spoke the truth about who he was, he then received the name Israel meaning “a prince with God.” Let us pray that God’s people will not hide their real identity as those with impure hearts. God’s work of grace only operates as we “come clean” with God.
