We Are The People

Genesis 32:32, Genesis 33:1-2

“³² Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He ^[a]touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank….  Now Jacob lifted his eyes and looked, and there, Esau was coming, and with him were four hundred men. So he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and the two maidservants. ² And he put the maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children behind, and Rachel and Joseph last.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Let us use the following 3 Prayer Points as guides for prayer this evening:

Prayer Focus #1: The children of Israel learned from the God encounters with Jacob and their actions were forever changed. Pray that those close in relationships to America’s leaders that have God-encounters will be changed by the impact of the God encounters.

Prayer Focus #2: Jacob saw his brother Esau coming to meet him, so he divided his people in readiness for an encounter that he did not know what the outcome would be. Pray that as our leaders have encounters with the Lord they will then prepare for encounters with man.

Prayer Focus #3: Jacob had an order that he set things in as far as value. Handmaids, then his wives. Pray that there will be wisdom as to how leaders will respond to the challenges, they will face in the future according to the encounters they had with God.
