Genesis 34:5 “⁵ And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter. Now his sons were with his livestock in the field; so Jacob held^[a] his peace until they came.”

Jacob heard that he had defiled his daughter, Dinah. It was something that had to have a response, but Jacob did nothing until his sons gathered to him. On this this “National Day of Prayer” let us gather together as the children of God following this Biblical model to pray against the defilement caused by the sins of evil men in the land.
