We Are The People

Genesis 37:5-8 “⁵ Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. ⁶ So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: ⁷ There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”⁸ And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Dreams, even when they come from God, can bring forth challenging responses from those around “the dreamer.” Tonight, we will pray in agreement concerning God-given dreams.

Prayer Point #1: The excitement of the dream overcame the wisdom of the dreamer. Pray that God’s children who receive dreams from the Lord will exercise prudence as far as who to tell about the dream.

Prayer Point #2: Pray that proper timing in sharing God-sent dreams is practiced by the dreamers.

Prayer Point #3:  Joseph in his youthful innocence thought that his brothers would accept the word from heaven and rejoice. It is easy to excel in one facet of ministry giftedness yet immature in other aspects of the gift. Pray that there will be maturity in the Body of Christ that results in hearing from God and proper sharing of the message to others that will result in rejoicing not hatred, support and not jealousy.
