We Are The People

Genesis 40:7-10 ⁷ So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”⁸ And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.”⁹ Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was before me, ¹⁰ and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. Joseph knew how to ask the right questions and from that, God’s plan began to unfold. Tonight, let us follow the path that God has laid out in this text as a guide for prayer for America and our leaders.

Prayer Point #1: The right questions can yield powerful answers that can lead a person from prison to God’s purposes for our life and nation. Pray that there will be people who will surround the president elect and ask the right questions that will lead our nation out of the bondage of darkness into the light of God’s provision and blessings in the days to come.

Prayer Point #2: Joseph was bold in declaring, “does not the interpretation of dreams belong to God?” Pray that here will be many political appointees who understand that God alone has the answers we need to bring light into the dark concerns of American culture due to the anti-God rhetoric and anti-Biblical lifestyle of many today.

Prayer Point #3: The vine of prosperity comes from the three branches of government in America like the three branches in the vine of verse 10 in the dream. Pray that the three branches of our government will work together to unfold the Constitution and the word of God on which America is founded.
