We Are The People

Genesis 40:20-23  ²⁰ Now it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. ²¹ Then he restored the chief butler to his butlership again, and he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand. ²² But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them. ²³ Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your investment in the “We Are the People” movement that is helping to bring America back to God. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

It is always good to listen carefully to what God says and pray to receive the understanding.  Tonight we will pray according to the following prayer focus points.

Prayer Point #1   Pray that on special days like we read of in this text when people are at peace that America’s leaders will have clear direction as to how they can handle situations with people they work with.

Prayer Point #2   Pharaoh followed the will of God exactly the way Joseph had spoken concerning the butler and the baker. Pray that our leaders in America will obey the word of the Lord concerning those who serve in their circle of advisors.

Prayer Point #3   The Chief Butler who was released from prison and restored to his former position forgot about Joseph who enabled him to be set free.  Pray that people who have been helped and blessed in this great land will show their appreciation for all that God has done for them and bless others as they have been blessed.
