Genesis 41:16-18

¹⁶ So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

¹⁷ Then Pharaoh said to Joseph: “Behold, in my dream I stood on the bank of the river. ¹⁸ Suddenly seven cows came up out of the river, fine looking and fat; and they fed in the meadow.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. Pharaoh addressed Joseph concerning the interpretation of his dream as if Joseph could give the explanation for people’s dreams at will. In verse 16, Joseph explains, “The ability to understand and interpret dreams is with God, not man.”

Prayer Point #1 Pray that our leaders will seek only the counsel of God to discern how to interpret national and international events. Through God’s counsel, the entire nation of Egypt was spared from the devastating drought.

Prayer Point #2   In verse 17, Pharoah told Joseph his position from which he saw the events in the dream. Pray that America’s leaders will position themselves concerning how they see culture, human and supernatural events. From that position, advisors can help them know what to do.

Prayer Point #3 Pray that our leaders will see the details that help advisors give guidance to our nation in times of trouble.
