Sunday, January 26, 2025 “Treat Others as We Would Have Them Treat Us”

Genesis 42:21 “21 Then they said to one another, “We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your investment in the “We Are the People” movement that is helping to bring America back to God. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Joseph’s brothers sold him into servitude. When trouble came, they seemed to have some sense of guilt concerning what they had done. Tonight, we will cover three prayer focus points that help us pray more effectively about current issues.

Prayer Point #1 The brothers took responsibility for what they did to their brother Joseph. Pray that our leaders in America will take responsibility concerning issues that arise and not think that their job is just to place blame on others. Ownership things that are done that create an environment of accusation is not healthy and should be avoided.

Prayer Point #2 The brothers could see the anguish in Joseph’s soul when they treated him in an ungodly manner, but it did not motivate them toward easing the pain. Pray that all Americans will see the anguish in people’s lives and ask themselves, “What can I do to bring comfort to those among us who are mistreated and marginalized?”

Prayer Point #3 When Joseph pleaded with his brothers, they would not hear him. Now, when Joseph had the opportunity to turn a deaf ear to their distress, he had the opportunity to bless those who cursed him. Pray that we Americans will act in cooperation with God’s plans to treat our brothers and sisters like we desire to be treated.
