“Money and the Grain”

Genesis 42:28

²⁸ So he said to his brothers, “My money has been restored, and there it is, in my sack!” Then their hearts ^[a]failed them and they were afraid, saying to one another, “What is this that God has done to us?”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. There are so many ways this verse can be taken. Tonight, let us look at three different ways to take the situation and find three prayer focus points.

Prayer Point #1 One of Joseph’s brothers had found the money he used to purchase the grain needed back in Canaan in his sack. This could have been viewed as a “cake and eat it too” situation but the way the brothers saw it they were rejected by Joseph. Pray against the confusion that exists in our, and between, our branches of government.

Prayer Point #2 Fear set in when the brothers gave place for confusion. Pray against the spirit of fear that many times comes in due to the back of seeing blessings God has for us as individuals challenges to maintain and nurture the blessings received.

Prayer Point #3 In the final analysis the brothers blamed God for all that was happening. Pray that America would once again sin “God Bless America” and refuse to blame Him for the trouble w as a people have created.
