We Are The People

Genesis 44:17-18 “¹⁷ But he said, “Far be it from me that I should do so; the man in whose hand the cup was found, he shall be my slave. And as for you, go up in peace to your father.¹⁸ Then Judah came near to him and said: “O my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s hearing, and do not let your anger burn against your servant; for you are even like Pharaoh.

“In verse 17, Joseph says, “go to your father in peace… all of you but Benjamin” the youngest brother in whose bag was found Joseph’s cup. Juda knew that would kill his father if they brothers would all go home except the youngest. Pray that as Judah was merciful, in the end we in in America will also be merciful thinking of our brothers when we judge situations in life and not cause further harm to others. Judah said, “let me speak a word?” Pray that God’s people who have opportunity will speak up.
