We Are The People

Genesis 44:21-23 “21 Then you said to your servants, ‘Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.’ 22 And we said to my lord, ‘The lad cannot leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.’ 23 But you said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you shall see my face no more.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. Judah, the leader of the tribe that brought the Messiah into the world, remembered the words spoken and rehearsed them before Joseph. Jesus said that “truth sets a person free.” Let us pray in agreement upon the following 3 prayer points:

Prayer Focus #1 As Judah told Joseph, “This is what you said.” His words were accurate. Pray that there will be accurate recall that our national leaders will practice in answering the press and all media.

Prayer Focus #2 The words of Judah are well meaning but not necessarily true. These words are based upon fear. Pray that there will be a spirit of truth and faith come upon our leaders when they negotiate with international leaders.

Prayer Focus #3 Joseph had made a great demand on the sons of Jacob that they bring their brother Benjamin down to Egypt with them. Pray that we as a nation will not place demands on others that are too heavy for them to carry.
