We Are The People

Genesis 44:33-34

³³ Now therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the lad as a slave to my lord, and let the lad go up with his brothers. ³⁴ For how shall I go up to my father if the lad is not with me, lest perhaps I see the evil that would come upon my father?”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. On this Palm Sunday let us find three focus points from this Gospel text:

Prayer Focus #1 Judah offered Joseph his life to be his slave to protect Benjamin from an unknown future.  Pray that there will be a spirit of sacrifice in America that will protect others in this blessed land.

Prayer Focus #2 Judah’s desire was for Benjamin to go up with his brothers.  Pray that people will see that Jesus’ desire was so great to bring many brothers to God, that He was willing to lay down His life as Judah was willing to do.

Prayer Focus #3 Judah could not go back to his father Jacob’s house without Benjamin and Jesus would not allow the people to make Him King on Palm Sunday.  He would follow the Father’s plan to be crucified so He could bring many sons to glory. Pray that many of us will be willing to follow the less taken path of putting others above ourselves.
