Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. Joseph made himself vulnerable before his brothers. Let us pray today using the following prayer focus points on this Easter Day:

Prayer Focus #1: Joseph asked his brothers to come near to him. This was the Father God’s intent in sending Jesus into the world. By revealing the heart of the Father in word and deed He was saying it is ok to come near to me.

On this Easter Day let us pray that we will receive a fresh invitation from the Lord to come near to him so He might reveal Himself to us.

Prayer Focus #2: The Bible tells us that at the invitation to come near, Joseph’s brother did as they were asked to do

Pray that there will be a great returning to the Lord beginning this Easter Sunday by those who have once followed Jesus but are now acting as Peter did on the night Jesus was arrested – he followed at a distance.

Prayer Focus #3 As Joseph’s brothers drew near to him, he told them that they sold him into Egypt. Pray that the church in America will be clear in the fact that many church and national leaders have sold us into the hands of the evil one, but God has a plan to resurrect forth in our great nation something that will move the mountains of man’s making which has brought sin and destruction inside our borders.
