We Are The People

Genesis 46:3 So He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. God spoke to Jacob concerning what to do and what the Lord Himself would do.

Prayer Focus #1: God tells Jacob, “Do not fear”. Pray that our leaders in America will not fear to follow God’s pathway for our country.

Prayer Focus #2: God instructed Jacob to “Go down to Egypt”. This would be a step in the direction of great challenge but God having told him not to fear, he was free to exercise faith. Pray that a spirit of faith will descend on our leaders.

Prayer Focus #3: God said that in that unlikely place, He would make of Jacob a great nation. Pray that even though at times God’s direction might seem a little unusual and without much promise of success, we must trust Him to bestow favor upon our nation.
