We Are The People

Genesis 47:30-31 ³⁰ but let me lie with my fathers; you shall carry me out of Egypt and bury me in their burial place.” And he said, “I will do as you have said.” ³¹ Then he said, “Swear to me.” And he swore to him. So Israel bowed himself on the head of the bed.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. Prayer Focus #1: Israel didn’t want his remains left in Egypt. He made that clear with Joseph and Joseph swore he would do what his father said. Pray that there will be solid agreements made for Americans that are good for today and the days ahead.

Prayer Focus #2: Israel said, “Let me lie with my fathers”. This meant with dignity and respect. Pray that America’s leaders will respect and honor those who have gone before them and that they have a desire to build on the foundations laid before them to honor life from womb to tomb.

Prayer Focus #3: The father Israel (Jacob) and the son Joseph swore to one another concerning Jacob being buried with his fathers. Jacob desired to be known as one who followed the ways of his father Isaac and grandfather Abraham. Pray that our leaders will desire to be known as those who want to be known among the many great leaders America has been blessed with.
