Genesis 48:1 Now it came to pass after these things that Joseph was told, “Indeed your father is sick”; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

After the commitments made in chapter 47, we now see the value of agreements made. Israel became sick and the clock was now ticking and Israel’s time on earth would come to an close. Pray that our leaders will have a good sense of timing in agreements made with one another and other nations.
