We Are The People

Genesis 49:3 “Reuben, you are my firstborn, My might and the beginning of my strength, The excellency of dignity and the excellency of power.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. Jacob called his sons together and he began to reveal their individual personalities, and he blessed them. Tonight, we will discover prayer points that we find in today’s verse.

Prayer Focus #1: Reuben was the firstborn among many. He led the way in the family as the strength of the father. Pray for families in America to be strong and that the older children will lead the way in doing right and be a good influence to the others.

Prayer Focus #2: Reuben was a man of dignity among the children of Jacob. He stopped the brothers from killing Joseph. Ultimately that led to Joseph being in Egypt where Israel’s (Jacob) family survived a future famine. Pray that God will raise up spiritual Reubens who will treat their fellow Americans with dignity.

Prayer Focus #3: Reuben had excellence of power. Pray that America will use our power in an excellent way and not abuse the blessings God has entrusted to us.
