Genesis 50:16-17 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying, ¹⁷ ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.” ’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Messengers came to Joseph with a word that supposedly came from Joseph’s father Jacob that he desired Joseph to forgive and forget what his brothers had done to him. Pray that there will be verification of notices that refer to the dead’s wishes. Let the dead bury the dead and that America’s leaders will base our behavior/response on what we know to be true today by the behavior of others.
