Sunday November 30, 2025 “Contentment Brings Great Gain”

Exodus 2:21-22 Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses. 22 And she bore him a son. He called his name Gershom, for he said, “I have been a stranger in a foreign land.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm EST using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your investment in the “We Are the People” movement that is helping to bring America back to God. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

The Bible speaks of great gain for those who find contentment in life. Moses discovered that truth in the land of Midian and the house of Reuel. This leads us to our three focus points for prayer today.

Prayer Focus #1: I am sure that there was a great cultural divide in the relationship between Moses and Reuel, but Moses was content to live with the man. Please pray tonight that there will be contentment for believers in America. There are many things we face in our world today, but God will help us to keep focus on Jesus and the word of God that contains all sufficient grace to stand in the evil days.

Prayer Focus #2: Reuel gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses as his wife. Godliness with contentment on the behalf of the man of God yielded great gain. The Bible says that when a man gets a wife he gets something good and obtains favor from the Lord. Let us pray that Christians in America will see the value of contentment and enjoy the good God has for them.

Prayer Focus #3: Moses’ son by Zipporah was named Gershom which means, “I have been a stranger in a foreign land.” Pray that God’s people dwelling in America will enjoy all that God has for us in this great land but have the realization that this is only our temporary home where we look for that heavenly city of God with Jesus that is yet to come.
