Saturday June 15 “All in the Family”

The recent death of Jean Stapleton reminded many people of her role as Edith in “All in the Family” and of course Archie.  The Bunkers were, let’s say, “a little dysfunctional” but in the middle of that word and the content of “All in the Family” was a little fun and laughter. But family situations aren’t always funny.  Adam and Eve’s weakness in temptation and the later battle of the brothers Cain and Abel resulted in the fall of the family.
God has an answer  – the cross of Jesus where our sin was taken by the Savior.  In Acts chapter 10, at Cornelius’ house and in Acts 16 at the Philippian jailor’s home, “All in the Family” became believers in Jesus Christ.   All in the family were saved by the power of Jesus’ sacrifice. Pray for families to experience  salvation and that they be held together by His grace.
