Sunday August 25, 2013 Weekly Prayer Focus and Points of Agreement

6pm – 9pm in all Time Zones – Welcome to this time of intercession for America and the cities that make up this great land.  Please take 15 minutes or longer to pray for the 3 prayer points this evening.
This past week we looked at the Prophet Micaiah’s experience of life proclaiming truth to those who did not want to hear.  Yesterday we discovered the man of God was imprisoned by king Ahab with the intent that the man of God be behind bars until the king returned from battle in peace.  When the king returned – a stone needed to be made for him that declared, “Rest in Peace”.  Ahab was killed in battle according to faithful Micaiah who did not follow the crowd of 400 prophets who spoke victory, peace and prosperity.  The true man of God – hated, mocked and imprisoned was justified as a true man of God.
Prayer Point #1 – Pray that there be the turning of hearts to a love for the truth when godly and faithful men proclaim the word of God prophetically concerning America’s lostness in a sea of a nation adrift unless we repent.
Prayer Point #2 – King Ahab tried to disguise himself in battle to escape the word of the Lord.  However 1 Kings 22:34 reveals that an arrow not specifically shot at the king found its way between pieces of armor he wore.  God’s arrows never miss the mark.
People who reject God’s truth in many ways attempt to disguise themselves or hide from destruction that God clearly says will come when His word is not honored and obeyed.
Pray tonight that there be a godly fear of the Lord in the lives of leaders in America and that there is nowhere to hide from God’s judgment.  He knows the weakness of the armor of humanism and unrighteousness that men wear.  “Sin will definitely find you out.”
Prayer Point #3 – The Prophetic word spoken by Micaiah was true, pure and unfailing.  It was not speculative , the prophecy was a sure word from the Lord and it came to pass.
Pray that people who insist on “casting God’s Word behind their back” will acknowledge their error in turning away from Bible truth when they see the result of their erroneous belief system.  For how can a person escape if they neglect or reject the great salvation we have in Jesus Christ?  Hebrews 2:3
