Friday September 20, 2013 “Can’t Do It Without the Lord”

1 Kings 3: 7-8 “Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.
“I don’t know how” responds a small child when told to “tie your shoes”.  “I’m just a child and the jobs too big God,” says Solomon.  No better place to be than being in the spot where you don’t know where to begin.  Why?  Because it confirms utter dependence upon God and without God I am without hope.  Today say with Solomon, “Lord the people are too great (too many) I don’t even know how to get started (how to go out or come in).
This humble attitude begins the process of God doing a new thing in us and in the land as He did under Solomon.  Humble yourself under God’s mighty hand and He shall raise you up.
