Wednesday November 20, 2013 “Provision”

This week we have been looking at Ezra 7:10 “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.”
The priest-scribe had prepared his heart and the hand of God was upon him.  The next step was provision for the task of rebuilding the house of God.  Ezra 7:20 “And whatever more may be needed for the house of your God, which you may have occasion to provide, pay for it from the king’s treasury.”
Surprisingly King Artaxerxes pays for the work of God to be restored in Jerusalem.  The King was not a friend to Jehovah’s people but favor was upon Israel to have worship of the Lord restored and His ways proclaimed once again.
Can we pray today that resources become available to God’s people that will enable them to extend the influence of the God of all the Earth.  Let our prayers of agreement be focused in such a way that unusual provision be experienced by we who have prepared so that we might see God’s will be done in America once again.  May we “spoil the Egyptians” like in Moses’ day.
