We Are The People

Nehemiah 3:17 “¹⁷ After him the Levites, under Rehum the son of Bani, made repairs. Next to him Hashabiah, leader of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district.”

 Almost every verse in Chapter 3 of Nehemiah contains the words “next to him” or “after him”.  The work of one joined together with his neighbors.  They willingly united in effort.  The people were inspired by the motive to bring glory to God and the salvation of people.  The workers did not seem to have selfish ambition.  Perhaps this was due to the urgency of the hour they lived in.

 Pray with me today for the revelation of the fact found in 2 Cor. 6:1 “We are workers together with Him (God)” be in every believer’s heart and that God’s people will desire to work side by side with the conviction of Pentecost and give no place to the confusion of Babel as we serve the Lord with a sense of urgency.  For the Lord comes quickly.
