We Are The People

Nehemiah 6:14 “14 Remember Tobiah and Sanballat, my God, because of what they have done; remember also the prophet Noadiah and how she and the rest of the prophets have been trying to intimidate me.”

There is no attempt at revenge. Nehemiah knew that judgment belonged to God. He handed his enemies over to the Lord. Jesus had the Pharisees, Paul had Alexander the Coppersmith who did him great harm and the servant is not greater than his master. 1 Peter 2:23 “Jesus committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.” We must follow these examples when we are attacked or our reputation maligned.

Pray that God’s people practice the example of Nehemiah who turned over those who opposed him to God. May our prayers be as Paul’s, “The Lord reward him according to his works.” 2 Timothy 4:14.
