Friday May 30, 2014 “Obedient Submission”

Nehemiah 9:25-26  “25 And they took strong cities and a rich land, and possessed houses full of all goods, Cisterns already dug, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance.  So they ate and were filled and grew fat, and delighted themselves in Your great goodness.  26 “Nevertheless they were disobedient and rebelled against You, Cast Your law behind their backs and killed Your prophets, who testified against them to turn them to Yourself; and they worked great provocations.”
Many people in this great land who know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior have made bad choices in life concerning relationships and personal pursuits.  The Bible warns us about being unequally yoked to people who are not Christians in close relationships.  God also is clear in His word about pursuing our own desires instead of His will concerning careers and places in which we live.
Let us join in prayers of agreement today that people who have once surrendered their hearts to God will once again humbly submit to His Lordship in obedience to the will of God.
