We Are The People

Nehemiah 9:33 “³³ However You are just in all that has befallen us; for You have dealt faithfully, but we have done wickedly.”

Words of honest confession.  These words sound similar to the words of Daniel 9:14 where the prophet prays to Father God concerning His people.

Nehemiah admits that God has not treated Israel unfairly.  It is so easy to blame God for everything that is wrong in America today.  But the Bible tells us that He waits to be gracious.

One of the things He waits for is for us to take personal responsibility.  We all have a free will.  Today let our focus of prayer be to do the will of God as a nation.  And that we take responsibility for America’s lack of blessing because of unrighteousness in the land.
