We Are The People

Nehemiah 9:35 “³⁵ For they have not served You in their kingdom, or in the many good things that You gave them, or in the large and rich land which You set before them; Nor did they turn from their wicked works.”

Yesterday we prayed that America would have a spiritual revelation that God has been so good to us as a people.  Romans 2:4 says “The goodness of God will lead to repentance.”  As Israel refused to acknowledge the many blessings God bestowed upon His people we also have applauded ourselves for our accomplishments.

The scripture verse above says that Israel refused to turn from their wicked ways.  2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us that forsaking evil is part of God’s plan to heal the land.

Today as we agree in prayer let us turn away from personal attitudes and actions that are not right in God’s sight.  Let us also pray once again for the eyes of America to be open that we might see God’s goodness and willingly turn to God’s ways that bring blessing as we acknowledge that which we have already received from the hand of God.
