Monday June 23, 2014 “Increase Without Wisdom”
Nehemiah 9:37 “37 And it yields much increase to the kings You have set over us, Because of our sins; also they have dominion over our bodies and our cattle at their pleasure; and we are in great distress.”
Even though ungodly Kings were allowed to rule over God’s people, the land continued to yield much increase. It is so deceptive when we choose to measure the moral fabric of America or any country according to the prosperity in the land. There are times when prosperity continues even when good people are marginalized or rejected in a land.
Pray today that the false sense of security we have in America because we are still doing better than most of the world financially will not direct our nation’s future economic policies. Pray that those who understand solid economic principles will be elected to office and have persuasive positions among their peers.
