We Are The People

Matthew 5:27-28    27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

The fact that sexual sin is rampant in today’s world is beyond debate. It is clear to see in these verses that God considers sexual lust as sinful as the actual act. Living in a society that blatantly flaunts images that contribute to lust, the heart must be guarded continually against a wandering heart that can easily be led from thought to action very quickly.
Pray that Christian America keep their hearts fixed upon Jesus and honoring Him – leaving no room for the pursuit of lustful behavior which can lead one into sexual sin. Pray that believers practice God’s command to “flee youthful lusts”. Also pray that Christians see members of the opposite sex as people, not objects.
