We Are The People

Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.”

   Hope all you moms had a blessed day yesterday. Today we shift back to using the “Sermon on the Mount” as a prayer guide.
The question is what kind of mourning is Jesus speaking of? The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 7:10 that there is godly sorrow and worldly sorrow. Jesus’ comfort is promised to those who mourn over evil and sin in the world. This begins with demonstrating godly sorrow over one’s personal sin and misgivings.
Let us pray in agreement today that all believers allow the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts first finding God’s comfort and then sharing in the comforting of broken lives wherever God leads us to be involved.
